Useful Apps

Hi Folks, this is a list of some of my favorite apps. I described briefly how I'm using it.

Office Lens - Mobile app

This app lets you replace a scanner using your phone camera, is really easy to use, and you can save each capture in PDF, like an image, or save it on some cloud storage. Why do I love it? XD, because it detects the file/card corners that make your photo looks cleaner and not like a photo.

Snagit - Desktop App

This app is fantastic for creating documentation or tutorials. It offers you a lot of tools that can help to guide a user step by step to accomplish a goal, and it also lets you create videos or gifs. It also helped me to replace some standard tools of Photoshop, like creating png photos (removing background).

Balsamiq Mockups - Desktop App

You can create prototypes for all devices, add forms and grids, and edit the user navigation. For example, I use it with some product owners to edit a form distribution and grid columns. It's beneficial because this draft gives your client more visibility about the final product.

Reminders (for iOS users)/ To Do (for Microsoft users)

This helps you to track all personal/work tasks you plan to do and add an alert reminder on your phone, organizing those by category. Is really helpful for personal management.

Speechify - All Devices/Browser extension

You can hear audiobooks or let Speechify read web pages like news for you. Also, you can take a photo to a book page and, with AI, convert this to text to read this for you. This app is also beneficial if you want to improve your listening and pronunciation in some languages, such as English, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Hindi, Chinese, and more.

You can add it as an extension on your browser or as an app for desktop and mobile. Of course, it has a cost, but it is helpful if it matches your goals or daily activities.

Parallels (OSX)

It helps you virtualize Windows/Linux OS and use their apps without leaving your OSX desktop.  It comes with a price you can pay once or annually.
